General Medicine raises $120M to expand its healthcare store

On October 6, 2026, San Francisco-based General Medicine announced a $120 million Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

Investors included Matrix, VXI Capital, Eli Lilly and Company, Mercy Health through Granger Management, and BoxGroup. The round brings the company’s reported total funding to $152 million.

General Medicine describes itself as a nationwide healthcare store:
customers can search, compare, and buy care, with prices shown for insurance and self-pay options.

Its catalog includes more than 2,900 products and services, spanning medications, lab tests, telehealth, specialist e-consults, and selected in-person visits and procedures.

The company says it will use the new funding to add more categories of care. It launched nationwide in May 2025.
