Enveda and Anthropic use Claude to speed drug-development paperwork

Enveda and Anthropic reported early results from a collaboration using Claude to help with drug-development paperwork—not to replace scientific or regulatory experts.

Enveda’s CMC Document Processor reviewed 1,061 pages of manufacturing records. In the test, Claude flagged all 11 issues human reviewers had identified, plus seven additional issues.

With human verification included, review time fell from about 26 hours to 2.8 hours—an 89% reduction for that specific workflow.

Claude also drafted portions of regulatory documents. One first draft took four hours, compared with about three months for a comparable manual draft, according to Enveda and Anthropic.

The findings are limited to particular document-review and drafting tasks. Human experts remained responsible for checking the output, and the results do not show that Claude can independently validate manufacturing quality or prepare regulatory submissions.
