City Therapeutics raised $200 million in an upsized IPO, selling about 11.1 million shares at $18 apiece—above its original plan to sell 9.7 million shares. Its Nasdaq ticker is CTY.
The RNA-interference biotech plans to use the proceeds to advance medicines in and nearing clinical development, including programs for cardiovascular and other conditions, and to support research into treatments that reach tissues beyond the liver. Reports said the funding could extend its runway into late 2028.
Frazier Life Sciences Acquisition Corp. II raised $75 million by selling 7.5 million shares at $10 each. The SPAC began trading on Nasdaq under FLSC and aims to find a business combination, with a stated focus on biotechnology.
The two listings illustrate continued investor appetite for biotech public-market financing, though the SPAC has not yet identified a merger target.
