AbbVie reported positive Phase 2a results for ABBV-466, an investigational combination of Skyrizi (risankizumab) and trosunilimab, in 300 people with moderate-to-severe Crohn’s disease.
At week 12, 30.2% of combination-treated patients achieved endoscopic remission, compared with 21.3% on Skyrizi alone and 18.0% on trosunilimab alone. At week 24, rates were 40.5%, 22.4% and 20.0%, respectively.
Serious adverse-event rates were broadly similar:
10.4% with the combination, 9.6% with Skyrizi alone and 9.0% with trosunilimab alone. Common reported events included Crohn’s symptoms and nausea in the combination arm.
The findings suggest that targeting two pathways may improve outcomes, but they come from a mid-stage study and need confirmation in larger trials. ABBV-466 remains investigational; its safety and efficacy have not been established by regulators.
