Yarrow Bioscience raised $150 million in additional financing, according to the referenced Endpoints report. Separate reporting says the company’s available cash is expected to support operations into 2028.
AbbVie reported positive Phase 3 LUNA results for Qulipta (atogepant) as a preventive treatment for menstrual migraine. The study enrolled 468 adult women.
Atogepant reduced perimenstrual migraine days by an average of 1.20 days, compared with 0.40 days on placebo—an incremental benefit of 0.80 days (p<0.0001).
The drug met the primary endpoint and all eight ranked secondary endpoints, including measures of headache burden, use of acute medication, functional disability and cognitive function. No new safety signals were reported.
In the trial, participants took atogepant for seven consecutive days beginning three days before expected menstruation, across three menstrual cycles. AbbVie said it intends to discuss the data with regulators.
