Iambic launches Enchant v3 and signs multi-year AbbVie drug-discovery deal

Iambic announced Enchant v3, its next-generation multimodal AI model for drug discovery, on September 21, 2026.

The model uses 41 billion parameters, 4.5 trillion training tokens, and data covering more than 6,000 molecular properties across 16 biomedical modalities, including molecular and protein structures, assay data, imaging, multi-omics, and clinical-trial data.

Iambic says Enchant v3 can test multiple drug-design hypotheses in parallel and optimize many candidate properties simultaneously, with the goal of improving prediction accuracy and shortening discovery timelines.

AbbVie and Iambic signed a multi-year collaboration focused on discovering and developing small-molecule therapies in immunology, neuroscience, and oncology.

The deal includes an upfront payment for Iambic, potential success-based milestone payments, and tiered royalties on net sales. The financial amounts were not disclosed.

AbbVie will use Enchant v3 alongside Iambic’s NeuralPLexer technology and AbbVie’s therapeutic-area expertise. No specific drug programs or existing assets were announced as part of the agreement.
