Roche’s Genentech has agreed to collaborate with AI-focused biotech Earendil Labs on multiple oncology bispecific-antibody programs. The announcement was made September 24, 2026.
Earendil will receive $55 million upfront. Including development, regulatory and commercial milestones, the collaboration could be worth more than $1.5 billion, plus tiered royalties on net sales.
Earendil will use its AI-enabled biology and protein-design platform to discover candidates against pre-agreed cancer-target combinations and advance them through early clinical development.
Genentech will take responsibility for subsequent global clinical development and commercialization. The companies did not disclose the targets, number of programs, milestone breakdown, or royalty rates.
The pact underscores Roche’s interest in externally sourced, AI-designed cancer biologics and positions Earendil as a growing partner for large-pharma drug discovery alliances.
