DualityBio and Genentech Sign Potentially $1B+ ADC Collaboration

DualityBio said it entered a global collaboration and license agreement with Genentech, part of the Roche Group, to create next-generation cancer antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) using DualityBio’s DUPAC platform.

DUPAC (DualityBio Unique Payload Antibody Conjugate) includes novel payloads designed to address resistance to payload classes used in currently approved ADCs, particularly topoisomerase-inhibitor-based treatments.

DualityBio will generate ADCs against oncology targets selected by Genentech and lead discovery plus early global clinical development. Genentech receives exclusive worldwide rights and will take sole responsibility for later-stage development and commercialization after Phase 1a.

Financially, DualityBio is set to receive a US$45 million upfront payment, may earn more than US$1 billion in combined development, regulatory, and commercial milestones, and is eligible for tiered royalties on net sales of any approved products.

The partners did not disclose the specific oncology targets or individual ADC programs covered by the agreement.
