Disc Medicine reports promising early PV data

Disc Medicine reported initial Phase 2 RESTORE-PV results for DISC-3405 in polycythemia vera, a rare blood cancer, at the 2026 Society of Hematologic Oncology meeting.

Among 13 patients completing 26 weeks, average phlebotomies fell from 4.0 in the preceding 26 weeks to 0.6 after treatment; 61.5% remained phlebotomy-free through week 26.

Mean hematocrit stayed below 45%, with early symptom improvement. DISC-3405 increased hepcidin, reduced serum iron, and was generally well tolerated; reported injection-site reactions were mild and temporary.

The results are preliminary:
efficacy data came from a small Cohort A subgroup, while broader and longer-term data are still pending. Disc Medicine expects additional RESTORE-PV and sickle-cell data by the end of 2026.

Separately, Frazier Life Sciences said it added more than $1.1 billion in new commitments to its evergreen Public Fund, bringing the fund to roughly $2.8 billion. The fund invests in publicly traded biotechnology and healthcare companies.
