AbbVie reported positive Phase 3 CERVINO trial results for etentamig, its investigational BCMA x CD3 bispecific T-cell engager in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.
The study met its dual primary endpoints, with a 74.0% objective response rate versus 45.7% for standard available therapies.
Etentamig reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 60% (progression-free survival hazard ratio 0.40), with the benefit seen across prespecified subgroups.
AbbVie also reported a 12-month overall survival rate of 87.9% for etentamig versus 72.0% for standard therapies, although the prespecified overall survival efficacy boundary was not crossed at the data cutoff.
Safety looked manageable, with low rates of cytokine release syndrome and few discontinuations due to adverse events.
