Ying Huang's post-Legend Life Takes Shape at K2 With $250M Goal to License Asia Assets

Former Legend Biotech CEO Dr. Ying Huang has been appointed CEO of K2 Therapeutics, a Singapore- and Boston-based biotech pursuing a hub-and-spoke model to license high‑potential assets from Asia and globally.

K2 has secured a $50 million seed round from MPM BioImpact to expand its portfolio, which now includes about eight programs (including deals with China’s Adcoris and Antengene for ADCs and T‑cell engagers).

Huang’s immediate goal is to raise a $250 million Series A round to fund development of existing assets and to source and in‑license up to around 20 additional programs from China and other Asian countries, backing a bold but challenging vision that K2 frames as climbing 'K2'—the second tallest but hardest mountain.
