Regeneron has ended a Phase 1/2a clinical trial for its anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody REGN7041, being tested for non-infectious uveitis of the posterior segment of the eye, referencing an adverse safety event that led to an unfavorable risk–benefit profile.
The TITAN study was evaluating safety and tolerability of REGN7041 in patients with non-infectious uveitis; the trial was voluntarily discontinued by Regeneron after a thorough review of a safety incident whose cause has not been identified.
Regeneron confirmed that patient safety is its top priority and indicated it will continue to analyze data from the study, but has not disclosed details of the severity or nature of the adverse event or the future status of REGN7041 development.
