Haisco licenses immunology asset to new U.S. biotech Sentivera in deal worth up to $1.5 billion

Haisco Pharmaceutical has licensed an undisclosed preclinical small-molecule immunology asset to Sentivera, a newly formed U.S. biotech backed by ARCH Venture Partners and Population Health Partners—the investors behind Metsera.

The deal could be worth up to $1.5 billion:
Haisco receives about $40 million in cash upfront, plus Sentivera equity valued at roughly $36 million, representing a 17.5% stake.

Haisco is eligible for up to $1.46 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones, along with tiered royalties ranging from the mid-single digits to low double digits on net sales.

Sentivera launched with an $83 million financing. Haisco chairman Wang Junmin separately invested $5 million in the company.

Sentivera receives rights outside Greater China, while Haisco retains Greater China rights. The asset targets type 2 inflammatory diseases, with asthma and atopic dermatitis cited as potential initial indications.

This is Haisco’s second notable U.S. NewCo transaction in 2026, following AirNexis Therapeutics, illustrating its strategy of retaining equity and sharing in the long-term upside rather than relying only on upfront payments and royalties.
