Greg Verdine's LifeMine raises $263M for safer immunosuppressant

LifeMine Therapeutics, led by Greg Verdine, has raised a combined $263 million in Series D and E financing to advance LIFE-001, a next-generation calcineurin inhibitor for organ transplant rejection.

The $263M comprises a $75M Series D (closed in Q4 2025) and an oversubscribed $188M Series E led by Milky Way Investments, with new investors including Bezos Expeditions, Gates Frontier, and RA Capital Management, plus continued backing from GSK, ARCH Venture Partners, GV, and others.

LIFE-001 is a direct calcineurin activation inhibitor discovered from fungal genomes that aims to replace toxic legacy immunosuppressants like tacrolimus and cyclosporine, preserving efficacy while reducing multiorgan toxicity.
