Exclusive: Dash Bio nets $30M for 'Amazon Web Services of drug development'

Dash Bio has raised a $30 million Series A round led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from Freestyle Capital and Swift Ventures, bringing its total funding to $47.5 million.

The company, founded in 2024 by former Moderna chief data & AI officer Dave Johnson, operates a 24,000-square-foot GLP-compliant lab in Waltham, Massachusetts, focusing on automated bioanalysis for preclinical and clinical drug development.

Dash Bio now serves more than 30 drug developers, including four top 15 global pharmaceutical companies, and plans to expand its assay modalities and service offerings across the drug development value chain.
