Curium to acquire Lantheus for up to $8B

Curium has agreed to acquire radiopharmaceutical company Lantheus Holdings in a deal worth up to $8 billion, under which Lantheus shareholders will receive $102.50 per share in cash at closing plus up to $12 more per share via contingent value rights tied to sales milestones by 2030.

The transaction, which represents a total consideration of up to $114.50 per share, is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals; upon completion, Lantheus will become a privately held company.

The combined entity will unite Curium’s global manufacturing and theranostics pipeline with Lantheus’ leading U.S. radiodiagnostics business, strengthening their position across the nuclear medicine supply chain in oncology, neurology, and cardiology in over 70 countries.

Meanwhile, Sandoz has reached settlements in separate price‑fixing cases, resolving allegations of anticompetitive behavior in the generic drug market, though the details vary by jurisdiction and case specific to each regulatory authority.
