AGC Biologics showcases expanded Copenhagen manufacturing facility

AGC Biologics completed its Copenhagen campus expansion in June 2024 after an investment of roughly $190–200 million.

The expansion added about 19,000 square meters covering manufacturing, quality-control and process-development laboratories, utilities, and warehouse space.

The new building includes eight 2,000-liter single-use mammalian bioreactors and two independent downstream-processing suites, more than doubling the site’s mammalian manufacturing capacity.

The facility can produce approximately 150 additional drug batches annually and has already begun manufacturing a Phase II/III clinical product for its first customer.

The video tour offers an inside look at the new manufacturing floor, laboratory areas, and single-use production technology.

The site received authorization from the Danish Medicines Agency in September 2024, enabling official operations.
