Tsingke presented an AI-enabled workflow for discovering therapeutic antibodies targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), an emerging target for gastric cancer and other solid tumors at AIS 2026 in Montpellier, France.
The AI-driven approach combines sequence analysis and proprietary screening to enhance specificity, particularly by reducing cross-reactivity with the closely related CLDN18.1 protein, a key challenge in CLDN18.2 antibody development.
The resulting antibody candidates showed strong specificity and favorable developability, demonstrating the potential of integrating AI with experimental validation to accelerate therapeutic antibody and antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) development.
Tsingke also showcased its integrated antibody development platform, covering multiple stages from antibody discovery (hybridoma, single B-cell, phage display) to engineering and protein expression across six expression systems, supporting monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, and in vitro diagnostics (IVD).
Chuanting Tan, Senior R&D Engineer at Tsingke, emphasized that integrating computational approaches with experiments helps researchers identify and optimize promising candidates more efficiently in the increasingly complex therapeutic antibody landscape.
