Sanofi's Sarclisa Escena has been approved for subcutaneous administration using a hands-free on-body injector (CirCLIQ® OBI), making it the first anticancer treatment available via an automated wearable device in the US.
Clinical data from trials like IRAKLIA show non-inferior efficacy and safety compared with intravenous Sarclisa, with significantly shorter administration time and fewer systemic reactions (about 1.5% vs 25% with IV).
