Gene editor Scribe Therapeutics starts second-half IPO spree with $129M listing

Scribe Therapeutics Inc. raised approximately $128.7 million in an upsized initial public offering (IPO), paving the way for its shares to begin trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol SCTX on July 24, 2026.

The company sold 8.58 million shares at $15 apiece, topping the previously marketed range of $13 to $15.

Scribe Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing in vivo CRISPR-based gene therapies for cardiometabolic diseases, with its lead asset STX-1150 targeting PCSK9 for lowering LDL cholesterol.

The IPO is notable as one of the first gene-editing company IPOs in more than two years, signaling renewed investor interest in early-stage biotech and gene-editing platforms.
