UK biotech RQ Bio has raised $115 million (£85.5 million) in a Series A round to advance its long-acting influenza prevention antibody, RQB01, into clinical trials next year.
RQB01 is designed to provide broad, season‑long protection against seasonal flu with a single annual injection, targeting conserved viral epitopes that resist seasonal variation.
The financing is led by Frazier Life Sciences and includes EQT Life Sciences, Forbion, Monograph, Wellington Management, LifeArc Ventures, Oxford Science Enterprises, and the University of Oxford.
