Roche has entered an exclusive licensing and collaboration agreement with Nurix Therapeutics around bexobrutideg (NX‑5948), an investigational Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) degrader for blood cancers, immunology and neurology indications.
Deal headlines at up to about $2.3 billion in value, with Nurix collecting an upfront of $700 million and a mix of development, regulatory and sales milestones.
The candidate is an oral, brain‑penetrant BTK degrader planned to enter Phase 3 in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) in summer 2026, with the potential to overcome resistance seen with traditional BTK inhibitors.
Roche will provide 60% of development costs and share U.S. profits and losses 50/50, while launching and commercialising ex‑U.S. and paying Nurix low‑ to high‑teens royalties.
News of the deal is today’s headline, with the transaction announced on 8 June 2026 and expected to close in Q3 2026.
