Novartis Breaks Ground on Flagship North Carolina Manufacturing Hub as Key Milestone in $23B US Expansion

Novartis announced plans on Nov 19, 2025, to build a flagship manufacturing hub in North Carolina (Durham and Morrisville) with $771M investment.

Groundbreaking occurred on Dec 11, 2025, for over 700,000 sq ft facilities including new sites and expansions.

Expected to create 700 direct jobs by 2030 and over 3,000 indirect jobs.

Part of $23B US infrastructure investment over five years to enable 100% end-to-end US manufacturing of key medicines.

Supports therapeutic areas like oncology, immunology, neuroscience; attended by Gov. Josh Stein and FDA Commissioner Marty Makary.
