Madrigal Extends MASH Pipeline with $1B Arrowhead Deal for J&J-Rejected Asset

Madrigal paid $25M upfront to Arrowhead for exclusive worldwide rights to ARO-PNPLA3, an RNAi therapeutic targeting PNPLA3.

Total deal value up to $1B including $975M in milestones.

Phase 1 data showed 46% liver fat reduction after single dose in PNPLA3 I148M homozygotes (30% of moderate-advanced fibrosis MASH patients).
