CVS Caremark will restore coverage for Eli Lilly's injectable weight‑loss drug Zepbound and add Lilly's new obesity pill Foundayo to its commercial formularies, putting Lilly on equal footing with Novo Nordisk in the GLP‑1 market and lifting the sales outlook for both drugs.
CVS will list Foundayo on its standard commercial formulary template starting June 1, 2026, and will add Zepbound back as a preferred obesity option by October 1, 2026, alongside Novo Nordisk's Wegovy.
Together, the moves mean that Lilly’s full obesity portfolio—including Foundayo and Zepbound—is now covered by all three of the largest U.S. pharmacy benefit managers, increasing potential access for millions of patients and supporting stronger near‑term sales.
