China gene editing startup YolTech raises $70M to move CRISPR therapies forward

China-based CRISPR gene‑editing startup YolTech Therapeutics has reportedly raised $70 million in a new financing round to advance its pipeline of in vivo CRISPR and base‑editing therapies.

The proceeds from the $70 million raise will be used to push mid‑stage clinical programs into later phases, expand manufacturing and regulatory capacity, and strengthen international clinical sites in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

YolTech has built a fully integrated platform with proprietary CRISPR nucleases (YolCas), base editors (YolBE), and lipid‑nanoparticle delivery systems (Yol‑LNPs), enabling precise, tissue‑specific gene editing across multiple diseases, including ATTR amyloidosis, familial hypercholesterolemia, PH1, and hemoglobinopathies.

The company has already dosed its first patients in multiple programs and has IND clearances in both the U.S. (FDA) and China (NMPA) for several candidates, positioning it as one of the leading global in vivo gene‑editing developers.
