The U.S. FDA granted 510(k) clearance to BrainSpace's Intellidrop on January 2, 2026, an automated system for continuous brain pressure measurement and precision drainage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
Intellidrop addresses ICU nursing shortages by automating external CSF drainage and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring for conditions like Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Stroke, and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.
The device generates multimodal data for training Physical AI models and is part of emerging Brain Fluid Interface (BFI) technologies.
BrainSpace, founded in 2021, has won awards including Seattle Angel Conference and was a MedTech Innovator 2024 grand finalist.
